• • As consultants, our expert witnesses specialize in school security matters and have assisted numerous schools in improving their security and emergency readiness programs. Some of our clients include Academy of the Holy Names, Admiral Farragut Academy, Calvary Christian High School, Clearwater Central Catholic High School, Diocese of St. Petersburg, Hillel Academy, Kingswood Oxford School, LCC Day School, North Cobb Christian School, National Aviation Academy, Sayre School, Shorecrest Preparatory School, St. Petersburg Christian School, St. Petersburg Catholic High School, and The College of New Rochelle.

• • In 2013, our expert witnesses developed the Guardian SafeSchool Program® as a comprehensive model for protecting schools against targeted violence. The Guardian SafeSchool Program employs a holistic approach that integrates specialized school protection officers, expert policy/procedural design, best practices in threat prevention and assessment, enhanced communications systems, staff and faculty training, and performance-based physical security design.

• • In 2014, the Guardian SafeSchool Program® was peer reviewed and endorsed by John Jay College of Criminal Justice as a model for national best practices. It was also adopted in 2014 as the model for training Newtown Public School District’s new security force in response to the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.

• • Our school security expert witnesses have trained over 1,000 school administrators, teachers, and security professionals in school security topics.

• • Due to our specialized expertise in managing risks of mass homicide, our school security expert witnesses served as committee members in the of revision and expansion of ASIS International’s WVPI-2020/AA, Workplace Violence and Active Assailant – Prevention, Intervention, and Response Standard.

• • Our school security expert witnesses possess certifications through a number of accrediting institutions. Some examples include PSP® (Physical Security Professional) board certification through ASIS International, cATO® (Certified Anti-Terrorism Officer), and CPS (Certified Protection Specialist).
