Matthew Little Sun is a CIS staff security consultant specializing in crime prevention and threat management strategies.

Matthew first joined the CIS team in 2016 in the Special Services Group working in the Guardian SafeSchool Program. Prior to joining CIS, Matthew served as a member of the US Army’s JAG Corp and was selected for Special Operations assignments with units specializing in counterterrorism operations.

Matthew is a veteran of the Iraq War, where he conducted combat operations, investigations, and close protection operations for US Embassy personnel, retiring in 2013 after twenty-six years of military service. Matthew’s legal background includes a wide spectrum of activities including criminal prosecution, criminal defense, Federal Tort Claims Investigator for a Special US Attorney, and Mediations Supervisor for a large personal injury law firm.

Matthew is a designated Florida Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design Practitioner (FCP).
