Meeting Description:
From August 27-30, 2012, thousands of Republican supporters will congregate in Tampa as participants in the Republican National Convention. Parallel with the convention, thousands of political activists will also descend on Tampa in protest of the RNC. For over a year now, Federal, State and Local authorities have been preparing an intensive plan to facilitate security of the convention and public safety while respecting the rights of activists to publicly protest. Although authorities are making every effort to minimize negative effect on Tampa Bay businesses, major impact in the surrounding area is inevitable in the wake of expertly securing such a large-scale event.
On August 9, 2012, Critical Intervention Services invites you to attend an informative lunch briefing on the anticipated public safety impact of the 2012 Republican National Convention and issues potentially affecting Tampa Bay businesses. Speakers include CIS Anti-Terrorism Experts and Captain Bartlett from the Tampa Police Department. Additionally, as part of this briefing, a roundtable discussion will be moderated by the speakers to offer suggestions and discuss strategies for minimizing negative impact on business operations.
